Hello there!

Please allow me a short intermission in our usual flow of technical writeups to celebrate the first two years of HN Security 🎉

Since early 2021, our team of offensive security specialists grew from 3 to 12 people, with seniority ranging from 1 to 25 years. We have offices in different locations in Italy: most of the team is based in Turin, with few team members in Rome and Florence. We enjoy flexible working hours and a hybrid work location. We’re planning to grow even more in 2023, so if you think you have what it takes to come work with us, drop us an email.

I won’t go into the details of our business, but suffice it to say that we were able to break even already in our first year, and both our customer base and our revenue more than doubled in 2022. We had the opportunity to work on many different technologies across a variety of industries, from web/mobile application assessments to infrastructure penetration testing, from embedded device vulnerability research to red teaming. And 2023 is off to a great start, already having exceeded our expectations. We’re finally witnessing a growing interest in our market for source-assisted white box application security assessments and red/purple teaming adversary emulation.

While building our new business from the ground up, we managed to publish dozens of well-received technical articles in our blog and to deliver talks at many local and international events. We could keep up with this throughput because of how awesome our team members are ❤️ and also because we dedicate a minimum of 20% of our time to R&D and training.

In my (albeit biased) opinion, these are impressive stats for a company that’s not backed by VC investors. All this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Humanativa Group and of all the people who believed in our project since its inception. You know who you are, thank you!
