Workshop Goals:

1. Understanding Use Cases and Business Questions:

We will explore various use cases and business questions that necessitate the need for simulations. By understanding the desired outcomes and how simulation results will be utilized, participants can effectively align their simulation efforts with organizational goals.

2. Identifying Challenges in Simulation:

Both business and technical areas face unique challenges when it comes to performing simulations. We will delve into these challenges, enabling participants to identify pain points and develop strategies to overcome them.

3. Extended Planning Scenarios:

In extended planning scenarios, simulation drivers and constraints can originate from different lines of business (LoBs). We will provide insights into how to handle such scenarios, ensuring seamless collaboration and transparency in logic.

4. Validating Early Ideations:

Participants will have the opportunity to validate early ideations related to simulation capabilities. We will focus on enhancing the ability of non-IT users to map out and define business logic, fostering improved collaboration and logic transparency. Additionally, we will explore the integration of R, Python, or SQL in the context of advanced formulas, as well as the integration of more simulation algorithms.

5. Scenario Management:

Efficient scenario management is crucial for successful simulations. We will discuss best practices and explore how SAP Analytics Cloud can streamline the management of multiple scenarios, enabling users to make informed decisions based on different simulation outcomes.

Workshop Format:

The workshop will be conducted in three stages, with an estimated effort of 3.5 hours per month. Here’s an overview of the format:

1. Initial Call (40 minutes):

During this call, we will introduce the overall scope and topic of the workshop. It serves as a starting point to align expectations and ensure a smooth workshop experience.

2. First Workshop (3.5 hours):

This workshop will gather insights into all simulation stages for the customer. We will focus on selected topics if preferred, allowing participants to dive deeper into areas of specific interest.
