DataDome’s mission is to protect our customers against threats and online fraud on any infrastructure. In response to customer demand, we are thrilled to add Keycloak to our supported integrations.
Keycloak IAM (identity & access management) is an open-source solution that provides single sign-on (SSO), identity management, and access control capabilities. It allows organizations to manage user identities, integrate with various authentication protocols (like OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML), and enforce security policies across applications and services.
Keycloak reached more than 20K stars on GitHub, and we have seen a large adoption of Keycloak over the last few years in our customer base.
Integrated Protection In Real Time
Keycloak’s recommendation is to install it behind one of these three reverse proxies: Nginx, Apache, or HAProxy. Luckily, Datadome has supported all of them for several years!
Setup Overview
Setting up this integration is a straightforward process, detailed in our Keycloak integration technical documentation. Here’s a simplified overview of the steps:
- Install any reverse proxy supported by Keycloak in front of your Keycloak: Nginx (recommended), Apache, or HAProxy.
- Set up DataDome for your reverse proxy.
- Create a custom theme to inject our DataDome JavaScript Tag, which collects client-side signals.
- Set up this new custom theme as default one.
Congrats, you are now protected and can see your real-time traffic in the DataDome dashboard!
As our goal is to ease your setup, we also provide a Keycloak Docker-Compose demo environment using Nginx as a reverse proxy.
Supporting Every Platform Possible
The new Keycloak integration is the latest in a range of DataDome integrations, as we continue to expand our supported platforms. With more than 25 server-side integrations available today, 50+ total integrations, and more to come, DataDome stops bad bots and online fraud on any infrastructure—big or small.
